It’s been a while since my last update here—December 2024! I wanted to share a little about an organization I’ve been supporting and a place that has become an important part of my own recovery journey.
I’ve been donating to NorCal SCI, which does an excellent job of supporting people with spinal cord injuries, especially those who are newly injured. Having people to turn to for help, encouragement, and guidance can mean so much when life suddenly changes.
I’ve also been going to SCI-FIT, which provides exercise and activity-based therapy for people living with spinal cord injuries and other neurological conditions. Before I started going there, I didn’t know where I could exercise safely. Finding SCI-FIT made a big difference for me.
The team there is amazing. They help me work hard, encourage me along the way, and somehow make exercising fun! It’s also been wonderful to see so many people facing different challenges, working hard toward their own recovery. Their effort and determination encourage me to keep going, too.
Last week, NorCal SCI shared a video highlighting what they’ve accomplished this year. Truly amazing stuff! I wanted to share it here so you can see the work I’m so happy to support.

If their work speaks to you and you’d like to help, you can donate directly to NorCal SCI here.
Thank you to everyone at NorCal SCI and SCI-FIT, and to the people who show up, work hard, and encourage one another. I’m grateful to be part of this community.
